1. About these Terms

These Terms and Conditions govern the purchase, registration, access and use of online courses and related materials supplied through AuraFeeds Academy by AURAFEEDS LTD ('AuraFeeds', 'we', 'us' or 'our').

By purchasing a course, accepting an allocated licence, registering for an account or accessing course content, the purchaser and learner agree to these Terms. Where an organisation purchases licences for staff or other learners, both the organisation and each learner must comply with the provisions relevant to them.

These Terms must be made available before purchase or registration and accepted through the platform. Nothing in these Terms limits statutory rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.

2. About AuraFeeds Academy

AuraFeeds Academy provides self-paced online education concerning safe enteral feeding practice, infection prevention, feed handling, hang times, documentation, traceability and related areas.

Courses are educational and may support continuing professional development. A course is not a regulated qualification unless expressly described as such. CPD certification, where obtained, does not of itself authorise clinical practice or replace employer-led competency assessment.

3. Intended learners

Courses are primarily intended for healthcare professionals, carers, support workers, students, apprentices and others involved in enteral feeding.

AuraFeeds does not currently impose a general under-18 block. A learner aged 16 or 17 may enrol where the training is relevant to their role or circumstances, including as a young carer, sibling carer, apprentice or college student. Where appropriate, participation should be supported or agreed by a parent, guardian, employer or education provider.

The course must not be presented to a younger learner as a substitute for direct clinical training, supervision, an individual care plan or competency sign-off.

4. Accounts and registration

  • Each learner must use an individual account and provide accurate registration information.
  • Accounts, passwords and access links must not be shared, sold or transferred without written agreement.
  • Learners must keep their login details secure and notify AuraFeeds promptly of suspected unauthorised access.
  • The platform currently records the learner's name, email address, date of birth and other information needed to administer the order and course.
  • AuraFeeds may correct obvious administrative errors and may request reasonable evidence where identity or certificate details are disputed.

AuraFeeds may suspend or restrict access where there is reasonable evidence of account sharing, fraud, misuse, abusive behaviour, unauthorised copying, interference with platform security or other serious breach of these Terms. Where reasonably practicable, the learner or purchasing organisation will be told the reason and given an opportunity to respond.

5. Course purchase and contract formation

Course descriptions, prices and the principal features of the digital content will be displayed before purchase. A contract is formed when AuraFeeds accepts the order and sends an order or registration confirmation, unless the purchaser has been told that a separate invoice or organisational agreement applies.

The purchaser is responsible for checking the course title, learner details, price and any stated technical requirements before completing the purchase.

AuraFeeds may decline or cancel an order where payment has not been authorised, fraud is suspected, an obvious pricing error has occurred, the course has been withdrawn or the purchaser is not entitled to buy on behalf of the named learner or organisation.

6. Prices and payment

Prices will be shown before purchase and will include applicable taxes unless clearly stated otherwise. Payment is processed through Stripe. AuraFeeds does not store full payment-card details; the platform retains the order record and may display the card brand and last four digits for administrative purposes.

Where AuraFeeds agrees to invoice an organisation, payment terms and any additional conditions may be stated on the invoice, proposal or organisational agreement.

If an obvious pricing error is identified after purchase, AuraFeeds may contact the purchaser to offer the course at the correct price or cancel the order and provide a full refund.

7. Immediate digital access and cancellation rights

Courses are supplied as digital content. Where a consumer requests access during the statutory cancellation period, the checkout process must obtain express agreement to begin supply immediately and an acknowledgement that the statutory right to cancel may be lost once supply begins.

The platform will present a separate unticked acknowledgement at checkout and record the wording, date and version accepted. The purchase confirmation should include or link to the applicable Terms.

8. Refunds and cancellations

8.1 Before course access

A purchaser may request a refund before the learner first accesses or starts the course. Requests must be sent to contact@aurafeedsacademy.org and should include the purchaser's name, learner's name, course title, purchase date and order or invoice reference.

8.2 After course access

Once course access has begun, a change-of-mind refund will not normally be provided where the purchaser expressly requested immediate access and acknowledged the effect on cancellation rights.

This does not affect statutory rights or remedies where digital content is faulty, misdescribed, not supplied as agreed or otherwise fails to meet applicable legal requirements.

8.3 Technical difficulties

AuraFeeds will first provide reasonable support where a learner reports an access problem. A refund will not normally be due where the problem arises from the learner's device, internet connection, unsupported software, incorrect credentials or failure to follow reasonable instructions.

Where a material platform fault prevents access and cannot be remedied within a reasonable period, AuraFeeds may restore access, provide replacement access, extend access or offer a refund as appropriate.

8.4 Withdrawal by AuraFeeds

Where AuraFeeds permanently withdraws a purchased course before completion and cannot provide a reasonable replacement or continued access, an appropriate refund will be offered.

9. Course access and availability

Course access is currently provided on an indefinite basis rather than for a fixed 12-month term, subject to the course remaining available, the learner complying with these Terms and the continued operation of the Academy.

Indefinite access does not mean that a particular version of the course, specific video, external resource or platform feature will remain unchanged forever. AuraFeeds may revise, replace or withdraw content where reasonably necessary for clinical accuracy, safety, legal compliance, accessibility, technical reasons or quality improvement.

AuraFeeds will take reasonable steps to maintain availability but does not guarantee uninterrupted access. Temporary interruptions may occur because of maintenance, security updates, hosting issues, internet failures, third-party outages or events outside reasonable control.

10. Course updates and version changes

Course content will be reviewed at least annually and may be updated sooner where there are material changes to evidence, clinical guidance, feeds, equipment, giving sets, manufacturer instructions, law, regulation or identified safety risks.

  • Lesson order, terminology, resources, examples, assessments and supporting materials may be updated.
  • A learner may be required to review updated material before a certificate is issued where the change is material.
  • Downloaded materials may become out of date; learners should check the Academy for the current version.
  • AuraFeeds will not materially reduce the educational value of a purchased course without reasonable justification.

11. Course completion and knowledge checks

To complete the course, the learner must complete all required lessons, answer every required quiz or knowledge-check question correctly and submit the required feedback form.

The current platform allows unlimited attempts. It does not store a percentage score or detailed quiz score. Completion is based on all required questions being answered correctly.

AuraFeeds may review account activity where there is evidence that another person completed the course, answers were improperly shared, automated methods were used or the platform was otherwise misused.

12. Feedback requirement

Learners are required to submit the course feedback form before the certificate becomes available. Feedback supports quality assurance, review of learning objectives, accessibility improvements and CPD evidence.

Learners must not include identifiable patient, service-user, family or confidential workplace information in feedback. AuraFeeds will not publish an identifiable testimonial without permission.

13. Certificates

A certificate is made available when the learner has satisfied the completion requirements. The certificate records the learner's name, course title and completion date.

Course completion can be checked internally through the AuraFeeds administrative dashboard. The platform does not currently provide a public external certificate-verification service.

A certificate confirms completion of the course. It does not:

  • grant professional registration or a licence to practise;
  • replace workplace induction, supervision or practical competency assessment;
  • confirm that a learner is competent to perform a clinical procedure unsupervised;
  • guarantee employment, progression or acceptance by a particular regulator or employer;
  • constitute a regulated qualification unless expressly stated.

Learners are responsible for ensuring that the name on their account is correct before certification. AuraFeeds may correct genuine administrative errors but may refuse misleading or fraudulent amendment requests.

14. Bulk and organisational purchases

Organisations may purchase multiple licences. Bulk purchases are currently managed manually rather than through automated organisational dashboards.

  • Each activated licence is for one named learner.
  • An unused licence may be reassigned before activation, subject to AuraFeeds confirming the change.
  • An activated licence cannot normally be transferred to another learner.
  • The purchasing organisation must provide learner information lawfully and accurately.
  • AuraFeeds may provide reasonable administrative information such as activation, progress, completion and certificate status.
  • Quiz scores are not stored, and identifiable learner feedback will not routinely be supplied to a purchasing organisation.

15. Educational and clinical disclaimer

AuraFeeds Academy courses are educational resources and must be applied within the learner's role, competence, supervision and professional responsibilities.

Course content does not replace:

  • professional judgement or clinical assessment;
  • an individual care plan or prescription;
  • manufacturer instructions for feeds, pumps, giving sets or other equipment;
  • local policies, employer procedures or infection-prevention requirements;
  • current national guidance;
  • direct advice from a responsible clinician;
  • emergency medical assessment or treatment.

Where there is a difference between the course and current manufacturer instructions, an individual care plan, local policy, national guidance or a responsible clinician's direction, the learner must follow the appropriate current instruction and seek clarification through the relevant organisation or healthcare professional.

The course must not be used as the sole basis for an urgent clinical decision.

16. Intellectual property and permitted use

Unless otherwise stated, Academy content is owned by or licensed to AuraFeeds. This includes written materials, videos, presentations, graphics, diagrams, transcripts, downloads, assessments, case studies, course structure, branding and certificates.

The learner receives a limited, personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable right to access the course for learning purposes.

Learners and purchasers must not:

  • copy, reproduce, record, republish or redistribute course content;
  • share login details or provide access to another person;
  • sell, sublicense or commercially exploit materials;
  • remove copyright, attribution or trade-mark notices;
  • upload course content to another platform;
  • use course materials to create competing training;
  • use automated tools to scrape or extract content;
  • adapt materials in a misleading way or imply endorsement by AuraFeeds.

Materials expressly supplied as downloads may be printed or saved for the learner's own reference, subject to any stated restrictions.

17. Third-party content and external links

Courses may refer or link to guidance, research, manufacturers, public bodies, YouTube videos or other third-party resources. Third-party content remains subject to the rights and terms of its owner.

A link to an external resource does not mean that AuraFeeds owns, controls or guarantees that resource. External content may be changed or removed without notice. Learners should use the original source and current version.

AuraFeeds will review the use of third-party materials and will replace or remove content where permission or appropriate licence terms cannot be evidenced.

18. Acceptable use

  • Do not attempt unauthorised access to the platform, accounts or administrative areas.
  • Do not introduce malware, interfere with security or disrupt the service.
  • Do not impersonate another person or submit false information.
  • Do not submit unlawful, abusive, discriminatory or defamatory material.
  • Do not include identifiable patient or service-user information in feedback, support messages, assessments or case-study responses.
  • Do not use the course or certificate in a misleading way.

19. Privacy and cookies

Personal information is handled in accordance with the AuraFeeds Academy Privacy Policy. The platform uses one essential login cookie with a 12-hour duration. It does not currently use marketing or analytics cookies.

The Terms and Privacy Policy will be linked in the website footer and made available during registration or checkout. Acceptance of the Terms will be recorded by the platform.

20. Complaints and support

Questions, refund requests, accessibility requests and complaints should be sent to contact@aurafeedsacademy.org.

A complaint should include the complainant's name, course title, relevant dates, details of the concern, supporting evidence and the outcome sought.

AuraFeeds aims to acknowledge a formal complaint within five working days and provide a substantive response within 20 working days. Where additional time is required, the complainant will be told why and given an updated timescale.

The Director makes the final internal decision on unresolved complaints. This does not prevent a consumer from seeking independent advice or using any legal or regulatory remedy available.

21. Accessibility

AuraFeeds aims to make course content accessible to a wide range of learners. Learners who experience a barrier or require information in another format should contact contact@aurafeedsacademy.org.

Requests will be considered reasonably, taking account of the learner's needs, the course format, available technology, proportionality and safety. AuraFeeds is working to provide transcripts or other alternatives for video content where appropriate.

22. Changes to these Terms

AuraFeeds may update these Terms to reflect changes in law, platform functionality, services, consumer arrangements, security or business processes.

The platform should retain the version and date accepted. Material changes affecting an active learner may be notified by email or through the platform. Changes will not be applied in a way that unfairly removes rights already acquired under a completed purchase.

23. Liability

AuraFeeds does not exclude or limit liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or statutory rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Subject to those protections, AuraFeeds is not responsible for loss caused by:

  • use of course content outside its intended educational purpose;
  • failure to follow current clinical guidance, manufacturer instructions, local policy or an individual care plan;
  • reliance on an outdated downloaded resource after a course update;
  • learner device, software or internet problems;
  • third-party websites, platforms or resources;
  • events outside AuraFeeds' reasonable control.

For business purchasers, AuraFeeds will not normally be liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of business or loss of opportunity, except where such exclusion is not permitted by law.

24. Events outside reasonable control

AuraFeeds will not be responsible for delay or failure caused by events outside reasonable control, including widespread internet or hosting failures, cyber incidents, power failures, government action, natural disasters, industrial disputes or major third-party service disruption.

AuraFeeds will take reasonable steps to minimise disruption and restore service.

25. Transfer, severability and waiver

A learner may not transfer rights under these Terms without written permission. AuraFeeds may transfer its rights and obligations as part of a lawful business sale, restructuring or transfer, provided the learner's legal rights are not reduced.

If any provision is found unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply. A delay in enforcing a provision does not waive the right to enforce it later.

26. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Consumers living elsewhere in the United Kingdom retain mandatory protections available to them. The courts of England and Wales will normally have jurisdiction, subject to any consumer right to bring proceedings in another applicable UK court.

28. Reference framework

This document has been prepared with reference to UK consumer and digital-content requirements, including the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 and the Consumer Rights Act 2015. It should be reviewed before publication if the platform, sales process or applicable law changes.
